Mind Your Mondays: Disassociation & Abuse

Happy Monday loves!

Here's another beautiful person who gave me permission to share her story with you all; her name is Lynette Beatty, and I am so blessed that the Zumba® world brought us together. Lynette is a jack of many trades when it comes to holistic health and fashion, and she currently resides in Northwest Indiana.

I had met and seen Lynette a few times in various Zumba® events, and I remember thinking to myself... she's got SWAG! Long story short, during my teaching hiatus I joined her class at the Griffith YMCA- LIFE CHANGING (to say the least). The amount of thought she puts into her classes and posts on her Facebook group, you can tell it's pure love.

As with most mental health illnesses (if not all), you can't ever tell by looking at someone what they are living with. When Lynette shared her story with a few of us after one of her classes, I was heart-broken that someone could be capable of hurting another person like that, but the fact that she even shared her story and chooses love over hate every single day made my appreciation for her grow even more.
